ABOUT US
Build skills and community while exploring the vast world of engineering

Founded in 2024, Engineering Club is CCCS' only STEM club. We meet Mondays and Fridays during Lunch B.
Come join us and support our efforts!
In September 2024, our dream of entering a car in the Bloomsburg Demolition Derby was realized! Through our club's fundraising efforts we were able to purchase, strip, and outfit a car ready for the heat of battle. Painted a perfect pink 'Armageddon' (car #14) made its debut with one of our club's seniors in the driver seat. Coming in 12th out of 24 competitors, with plenty of great memories and lessons learned we're already looking forward to next year's competition!
Our
Story
Get to Know Us
The idea for our club was born when some intrepid students approached their new math teacher to ask about an opportunity to grow their skills in construction and engineering. Thanks to a willing school administration our fledgling club was up and running in no time!
In our first year we built a working hedgehog robot (affectionately named Robert), hosted a cocoa, chili, and cookie movie night where we screened WALL-E and showcased our working version of a WALL-E robot. We also built a "Conqueror" robot with IR tracking and explored the world of simple machines with a Rube Goldberg Project. We dabbled in the field of structural engineering by building bridges and investigated the exciting world of coding by programming DASH robots.
Since then the club has grown both in participation and projects! Follow our STEM journey here on our website or better yet, join us in person during Lunch B on Mondays and Fridays!
